November 5, 2018 – Westlake Chemical’s Houston headquarters office has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Houston Chronicle. The list is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics). The anonymous survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Albert Chao, CEO and president of Westlake Chemical stated, “We are honored to be awarded this prestigious accolade, given to us based on feedback from our employees.  Our success is due to our talented and dedicated workforce.  We work hard to provide a culture and benefits that provide a better life for our employees.  I am pleased that our workforce is engaged and enjoying their worklife with Westlake.”

Earlier in the year, Westlake Chemical placed #1 on the Houston Chronicle's 2018 Top 100 List for Public Companies.
